imat at Future Interior Summit 2018

"Help shape mobility" is the motto of this year's "Future Interior Summit 2018" in the Legend Hall of Motorworld in Böblingen (Stuttgart area). Decision-makers, developers and designers from OEMs, suppliers and the scientific community will come together to discuss trends in mobility and, in particular, the development of vehicle interiors. The desire for individuality, comfort and quality of life is becoming ever greater in times of change towards autonomous driving, and at the same time Car-Sharing concepts are demanding new ideas for cost optimization and connectivity. What opportunities do the trends and customer needs offer the industry and how can the best possible success be achieved?

As an exhibitor, imat displays projects from material development. On the second day of the conference, Managing Director Hans Peter Schlegelmilch will give a lecture on the subject of "Mobility of the future needs the best materials" as part of the "Interior Materials and Concepts" session. The presentation will deal in detail with the digital management of material, component and surface data. This supports the development of innovative design and functional concepts from the initial idea to series release. At imat, approaches of UX market research are combined with multimodal experimental sensory testing.
