Groundbreaking in Renningen: A New Milestone for imat

With the official groundbreaking ceremony, the construction phase for our new site in Renningen has begun! Together with DIBAG, the general contractor LIST Bau Stuttgart GmbH & Co. KG, and the architectural firm HERKOMMER ARCHITEKTEN, we are celebrating the start of a project that will shape our future sustainably.

A Forward-Thinking Location for Automotive Testing

On the 12,810 m² site at Benzstraße 1, our modern company building is taking shape, consolidating the previous locations in Stuttgart and Heimsheim. This not only enhances efficiency in our operations but also creates an innovative environment for our customers, partners, and employees.

What Can We Expect at the New Site?

  • Laboratory space on the ground floor: 2,988 m² of state-of-the-art high-tech testing capacities for comprehensive testing services.
  • Office space on the first floor: 292 m² of modern workspaces for interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Centralization and synergies: The consolidation of our Southern German locations promotes more efficient processes and optimized communication channels.

As a globally accredited testing service provider with over three decades of experience, we specialize in the validation of materials, components, and complete vehicles. Our new location will not only serve as a cutting-edge laboratory and office facility but will also provide a platform for interactive workshops, seminars, and expert presentations. A dedicated open-space area will foster creative exchange and collaboration.

A Long-Term Commitment

Our new company building is being constructed on a 7,000 m² plot and includes a workshop hall with a total area of approximately 2,600 m², complemented by office, social, and ancillary spaces. The long-term partnership with DIBAG Industriebau AG is secured through a 20-year lease agreement.

Future Plans: Expansion in Sight!

Concrete plans are already in place for the adjacent 5,700 m² construction area. In a second phase, an additional ground-level hall with an area of approximately 2,000 m² will be built. This new facility will also be custom-developed by DIBAG to meet the specific needs of imat.

Shaping the Future Together

The new site in Renningen will open new opportunities for imat in the automotive industry and set the stage for further growth. We look forward to bringing this innovative location to life and extend our gratitude to all involved in this groundbreaking project!
