Further approval by Daimler for A test methods
The imat branch in Heimsheim near Stuttgart has again received the approval from Daimler for Global-Web Class "A" methods. The approval relates to a wide range of tests for the validation of materials and vehicle components. These include paint and corrosion tests, such as multi-impact, steam jet or CASS tests. In addition, there are tests for artificial weathering, such as sun simulation and hot light aging included.
This additional approval once again confirms imat as a global partner of Daimler. All laboratory sites now have a Global-WEB approval from Daimler.
The approval is based on accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 and evaluation according to VDA 250 Part A as well as successful audits by Daimler and interlaboratory tests.
For imat, this recognition of its competencies in the field of testing and validation by Daimler is an important milestone in its corporate strategy and a confirmation of its long-term expansion policy. imat is thus in a position to qualify and audit partner and contract laboratories itself in order to approve them for material and component testing according to the imat validation service partnership (IVSP) system. This creates higher test capacities and faster processing times for OEMs and suppliers, especially for complex test plans.
All imat locations worldwide work in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17025, ISO 9001 and VDA 6.2 as well as with various OEM specifications.
