New accreditation according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 for lacquer testing
The test field of the design and engineering service imat-uve in Heimsheim was additionally certified in April 2016 according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 for various lacquer technological test methods of painted components in the exterior and interior. These test methods relate inter alia to VDA, Daimler, BMW and VW standards, particularly for
scratch test
coating thickness measurement
infrared measurement
steam jet test
stone impact test
corrosion test (e.g. salt spray test and constant climate condensation test)
ball drop test
These tests are carried out as part of component development and component releases as well as the series validation of lacquered interior and exterior components. Daimler has already approved the test methods. Currently, an interlaboratory test is run by VW involving imat-uve.
With this flexible accreditation for lacquer tests imat-uve managed to expand the portfolio in the area of testing validation again. By the approval of OEMs their system suppliers get a highly recognized, expert partner to their side, with which they can carry out their lacquer and surface tests.
