imat-uve receives approval from Taiwanese registration office

Written by imat-uve | Jan 8, 2020

To import vehicles or components into the Taiwanese market one must provide proof of conformity with the requirements of the Taiwanese Vehicle Safety Certification Center (VSCC). The tests must be performed by approved service providers. Accredited companies can be listed as approved laboratories by the Taiwanese Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) if they successfully pass a complex approval process. This includes an audit by the VSCC.

The VSCC confirmed the conformity of the test performance of horizontal burning tests according to VSTD 19 at imat-uve in Mönchengladbach, Germany, and applied for the listing at the MOTC. imat-uve is now one of only a few laboratories in Europe with such an approval. In addition, all common test specifications for horizontal burning with fuel gas can be fulfilled by the imat plants. For USA (FMVSS 302) and Canada (CMVSS) the common specifications can also be tested in the DAkkS accredited framework.

With the certification for Taiwan, the company responds to the request of global customers to include imat-uve as a reliable partner in their global projects.
