Shanghai increases capacities with gas chromatograph for VDA 278 tests

From now on, at Shanghai imat’s laboratory more tests according to the standard VDA 278 (in-vehicle emissions) can be processed at the same time. A new device for examinations that require the method gas chromatography has expanded the lab equipment and is now ready to process customers’ orders. The VDA 278 is an internationally known test standard for emissions testing, introduced by German car makers. The procedure is used for the qualitative and semi-quantitative determination of VOC and SVOC emissions in vehicle interior materials. It is based on the lab-apparatus thermal desorption – gas chromatography with a mass selective detector.
